Stradley Ronon Partner Craig R. Blackman and Counsel Jana M. Landon presented the seminar, “How to Protect Your Nonprofit from Cyber Attacks,” on July 19 in Philadelphia. Blackman and Landon discussed why cybersecurity is a concern for all organizations, including nonprofits, and provided an overview of the cyber insurance marketplace and options for coverage. The audience included representatives from numerous nonprofit organizations, including professionals involved in IT, legal and compliance, finance and operations. Stradley Ronon Partner Catherine M. Ward moderated the event.
Blackman focuses his practice on a variety of insurance industry issues, including cyber insurance; commercial and personal lines; directors and officers and errors and omission; general liability; land title; fidelity and surety; and professional, employment and products liability. He is also a member of the firm's nonprofit & religious organizations practice group, representing nonprofit companies and related individuals regarding insurance needs of such entities and their boards.
Landon is founder and chair of Stradley Ronon’s e-discovery team and a member of the firm’s cyber insurance group. Her practice focuses on advising lawyers and clients on data security and data management issues and legal, technical and strategic issues regarding electronic discovery and information governance. Landon has significant nonprofit experience, serving as a trustee and executive board member for the Center for Literacy.
