The Colliers International Logistics and Transportation Solutions team of Mark Chubb, Michael Zerbe, Summer Coulter have successfully assisted Equus Capital Partners in the leasing of 1.1 million square feet of modern industrial fulfillment space at the Shippensburg I-81 Logistics Center, a newly developed, state-of-the-art Class A warehouse and distribution facility directly fronting Central Pennsylvania’s strategic Southern I-81 Corridor.
In a statement to PennLive.com, new occupant Lowe’s explained it will be adding the site to its supply chain, because of its unique position to reach nearly 40% of the U.S. population within a one-day drive shed and thereby expanding Lowe’s ability to serve customers with faster options such as same-day and next-day order fulfillment.
“The I-81 Corridor is one of the nation’s most prominent distribution locations, home to a diverse set of Fortune 500 and logistics companies, who seek to gain access to both the major metropolitan areas of the East Coast and the Midwest.” cited Mark Chubb of the Colliers team. “We were proud to assist Equus Capital Partners in this important project. This new 10-year lease is expected to bring 180 jobs to the region.” added Chubb.
The transaction was completed in coordination with Mike Hess and David Remington of CBRE, who represented Lowe’s in the transaction.
