Although great strides have been made towards gender equality in the workplace, women still earn 82 cents for every dollar a man makes. In some cities, however, there are more women who have a college degree, earn higher salaries and start their own businesses.
To find the cities where women are most successful, SmartAsset’s third annual study compared the 200 most-populous U.S. cities across six metrics related to education, earnings, entrepreneurship and housing affordability for women.
Out of the 200 most-populous U.S. cities, Pittsburgh ranks in the 36th spot in SmartAsset’s study on where women are most successful.
