BurgerIM, a popular California-based burger franchise will soon make its debut in the Lehigh Valley. The grand opening for BurgerIM, set for mid-September, promises to be “Worth the Wait” according to signage at the site located at 3215 Schoenersville Road in Bethlehem in a strip mall known as Schoenersville Centre.

BurgerIM, created by Israeli native Donna Tuchner opened the first BurgerIM in Tel Aviv in 2011. The name combines the primary menu item, burger, and the Hebrew suffix meaning many, -im. An investor brought BurgerIM to Southern California in 2016 and the franchise has been growing since. The gourmet fast food restaurant offers a “create-your-own” experience with a menu of mini burgers, slightly bigger than sliders as well as larger options. Ingredients are comprised of ten different types of patties, including lamb, falafel, salmon and veggie along with a whole host of topping options.

BurgerIM will fill the space that was formerly home to Potbelly Sandwich Shop right next to Health Network Laboratories. Other adjoining businesses include Starbucks, SaladWorks, Dickey’s Barbecue Pit, Asian Bistros II and Moe’s Mexican.
