Chatham Financial Adds Brian Gould to Global Real Estate Team

Chatham Financial announced that Brian Gould has joined the firm’s Global Real Estate team as a managing director in the D.C. metropolitan area.Gould was formerly the director of capital markets at JBG SMITH.

Prior to joining Chatham, Gould spent nine years with JBG SMITH (NYSE: JBGS), overseeing the financing needs of the company’s commercial real estate portfolio. His department oversaw over $10 billion of project capitalizations including construction, transitional, permanent and fund-level financings. In addition, he coordinated interest rate hedging, contingent liability management, investor reporting, lender reporting and treasury management. Highlights of his tenure include leading the procurement of the $1.4 billion credit facility as part of the 2017 JBG SMITH merger. In addition, Gould’s efforts on the construction loan of Fort Totten Square were cited for the 2013 Financing of the Year award by the Washington Business Journal.

Before joining JBG in 2010, Gould spent six years as a member of Guggenheim Partners’ high-yield commercial real estate debt team. He started his career at Prudential Financial (NYSE: PRU) in its commercial real estate lending division. Gould is a graduate of Northwestern University and earned the Chartered Financial Analyst (CFA) designation. He is a member of D.C. Real Estate Group, DCBIA, Urban Land Institute (ULI) and CFA Institute.
