MALVERN, Pa.--(BUSINESS WIRE)--Vanguard Charitable is pleased to announce that Mark Froehlich joined the organization as chief financial officer (CFO) on January 14, 2019. Mark is joining Vanguard Charitable after serving in the same role at The Philadelphia Foundation, one of the nation's oldest and most respected community foundations.

As CFO of The Philadelphia Foundation, Mark oversaw financial management and stewardship of the foundation's assets, implementation of financial policies and procedures, management of finance and technology staff, and management of key service areas, including fiscal sponsorships and private foundation services. Previously, Mark managed the accounting and financial reporting functions for William Penn Foundation, a family foundation committed to the Philadelphia region.

Mark is a CPA and holds an MBA from Temple University's Fox School of Business. Mark’s strong connection with the not-for-profit sector stems from his training as a classical violinist and his affinity for Philadelphia's arts organizations.
