PSL reshapes leadership with promotions for James Bernardo and Dan Davis

Presbyterian Senior Living (PSL), a leading provider of senior and retirement care services based in Dillsburg, announced today the promotion of Dan L. Davis Jr. to Senior Vice President and Chief Operating Officer and Jim Bernardo as PSL’s Executive Vice President.

In Davis’s new role he will be responsible for the supervision of PSL’s Continuing Care Retirement Communities in Pennsylvania, Maryland and Delaware. Davis previously worked as an Executive Director as well as a Health Care Administrator and most recently served as Vice President of Continuing Care Operations prior to assuming his current role as Chief Operating Officer. Davis has over 23 years of experience in aging services, is a Licensed Nursing Home Administrator and has been employed by Presbyterian Senior Living since 2001.

In Bernardo’s enlarged and refocused role as PSL’s Executive Vice President, he is responsible for the development of affiliations and partnerships, new business development, communications, strategic planning, and resource development. Bernardo has most recently served as Chief Operating Officer. Bernardo has more than 35 years’ experience in aging services as a social worker, Health Center Administrator and Executive Director.

Jim Bernardo has a history of commitment to the advancement of services to older adults and has served in positions of state and national Board leadership with LeadingAge. He also serves as a CARF International surveyor in both the US and Canada. CARF International is an independent, nonprofit accrediting body whose mission is to promote the quality, value and optimal outcomes of services through a consultative accreditation process that centers on enhancing the lives of the persons served.

Dan Davis is an active member of LeadingAge PA having previously served as Treasurer for the state association and as President of the Central Pennsylvania Chapter. He holds a Bachelor of Science in Business from Oklahoma City University and a Master of Science in Organizational Development and Leadership from Shippensburg University.
