VividCortex, a Charlottesville, VA-based database performance management company, closed an $8.5m Series A-1 funding.
The round was led by Osage Venture Partners (OVP) with participation from Bull City Venture Partners and existing investors New Enterprise Associates (NEA) and Battery Ventures. As part of the financing, OVP Partner David Drahms joined VividCortex’ Board of Directors.
The company, which has raised $15m in total funding, will use the funds to continue to expand its operations.
Founded in 2012 by Baron Schwartz, founder and CEO, VividCortex provides a cloud-based, database performance management platform for businesses to improve application performance, reliability, and uptime by getting access to insights into database workload and query performance.
The solution is used by companies like DraftKings, Etsy, GitHub, SendGrid, Shopify, and Yelp, among others.
