
Michelle Rivera, OD
Michelle Rivera, OD, has been named as the main provider at The Eye Institute (TEI) of Salus University’s Norristown satellite facility. TEI’s Norristown location is a collaboration with Delaware Valley Community Health, Inc. and serves as the fourth clinical location for the University’s Pennsylvania College of Optometry (PCO) doctorate program. Dr. Rivera will oversee optometry students as they provide comprehensive adult and pediatric eye care services, and contact lens evaluations.
Dr. Rivera brings over a decade of optometric experience to her new position. She will be responsible for collaborating with TEI leadership to provide high quality care for patients, while optimizing the student’s clinical experience. Dr. Rivera is a certified optometrist in therapeutics and glaucoma in Pennsylvania and speaks Spanish fluently.
Dr. Rivera received a Bachelor of Science degree in Vision Science and a Doctor of Optometry degree from Nova Southeastern University in Ft. Lauderdale, Fla. She completed her primary care residency at William Chappell Jr. VA Outpatient Clinic in Daytona Beach, Fla. with an emphasis on primary care, ocular disease and low vision. She is a member of the American Optometric Association.
