First nonstop flights between Morgantown and TWO major Mid-Atlantic hubs

Southern Airways is pleased to announce the launch of new daily service connecting Morgantown, W.Va. to Pittsburgh and Washington, D.C. beginning Nov. 30. It’s Morgantown’s first ever connection to two separate hubs

Southern takes over air service to PIT - Pittsburgh International Airport and IAD-Washington/Dulles from Silver Airways, which is currently finishing its contract in Morgantown. These new routes are part of the federal Essential Air Service program, and were awarded to Southern by the U.S. Department of Transportation.

“We are excited to offer this service to the people of Morgantown,” said Keith Sisson, chief marketing officer of Southern. “We have worked very closely with the airport to offer a seamless transition to our air service options. We think the passengers are going to love the options that come with service to two hubs.”

Tickets are on sale at the airline’s website,www.iFlySouthern.com, as well as major online travel sites. Tickets may also be purchased through Southern’s call center at1-800-329-0485. Fares for Pittsburgh start at $29. Fares for Washington-Dulles start at $49.

Southern’s Morgantown flights will arrive and depart from Morgantown Municipal Airport. All flights will be on nine-seat turbo-prop aircraft, so boarding lines will never be long. This, along with free parking at the airport, and Southern’s free baggage policy are among the many conveniences that passengers enjoy when flying from Morgantown.
