In creating brands for products to be sold or promoted in multiple countries, companies should consider the meanings of names in various languages. Products sold outside the U.S. with unintended meanings in English include: (1) Poo Poo Smoothie (sold by Burger King China in 2014); (2) Pee Cola (from Ghana); (3) Barf dishwasher detergent (from Iran); (4) Fart candy bars (from Poland); and Only Puke honey bean chips (from China).
