Patriot Capital is pleased to announce an incremental subordinated debt and equity co-investment, alongside First Capital Partners and management, in its portfolio company, Advantage Engineers, LLC. The investment supported the company's merger with Synergy Development Services and affiliates.

Founded in 2004, Synergy is a trusted leader in wireless communications systems development. Its professionals are experts in outside plant audits and small cell advancement. Synergy is headquartered in Van Nuys, CA and has five other offices in the western U.S. The combined entity will have over 300 employees across the country, enabling it to better serve national and regional telecommunication customers. Synergy will operate as a division of Advantage.

Advantage's Board of Directors has also appointed John McGrath as Chief Executive Officer. Mr. McGrath has over 25 years of experience in the engineering and construction industry and has served as Advantage's Chief Operating Officer since 2012. He will succeed Advantage's founder Ed Balsavage, who will continue to serve as a member of the Board of Directors.

In September 2016, Advantage partnered with Patriot Capital and First Capital Partners to launch the next phase of its strategic growth, including expanding the company's geographic footprint and capabilities.
